  hawaii recently enacted a new law that allows victims of childhood sexual abuse a two-year window to file a civil action-even if in the past you were told that, because of a statute of limitations, you couldn't.

  demon posession?

  my gradmother used to tell me about a catholic icon at her aunt's house which was demon possesed and once blinked at her.

  I have been told I am an 'Intuitive' and other simular things.

  It makes me mad and scared. I really feel that you have to accept the negative with the good. I find it all frieghtening. God and the Devil.

  So I reject it all.

  Born-ins (childhood memories)

  as a born in, or in at a very young age, what were your worst memories as a young jw child?.

  i remember not being allowed to go to sleep in the meetings when i was tired.

  not being allowed to do lots of things at school other kids could do.

  I remember the lecithen thing too. Also sitting in the office with the naughty kids during holidays.

  My first negative memorie was before , my parent telling me to memorize the scripture about the repeating of prayers.

  I was told to tell my Grandmother that she would die in Armegedon for this. I was only 5 and I loved her very much.

  This is so messed up . What small child should have to imagine their grandmother's death?

  my mom had a study when I was a kid of 7. She was a 'witch'

  After one of the studies, my mom picked me up from school. The car floorboard was full of her 'witch books' . Earlier, during her study they tried to burn them at her house . It didnt work. So she picks me up and I proceded to do a Linda Blaire and puke on them. This frieghtened my mom and she pulled over and dumped me...opps , them books on the road.

  As I type this, my computer is changing font and other strange stuff.

  I dont believe in god or the reverse.

  edit..

  but it makes me mad that I still have some of those old fears.

  I have learned to say ''bless you"!

  for those born in or dragged in as little children, normal customs are not imprinted on our minds.. such as the simple saying ''bless you'' when somebody sneezes.

  this has frustrated my wife for as long as we have been together!

  she felt it very rude that when she would sneeze i would not respond with the customary phrase, i had to explain that it just was not part of my culture, not imprinted on me.

  wardrobe 'malfunction' while in service

  felt something clinging to back of my leg.

  elastic waistband of my slip died and my slip was hanging 6 inches below my dress.. anyone else have an embarrassing service tale to share?.

  Walking out of 'the Palace of Cows" in the City, my dumb ass Laura Ashley, over priced, nasty pink, floral dress, flew straight up over my head.

  So embaressing! It was the 80's, it could have been worse. I must say I hate all of the above.

  I used to make this anti-pasta pasta salad for potluck, picnics. I noticed that no one liked the prosciutto and and the raw aspargas. They left it on the plate.

  So I came up with this oh so very unique (not) idea and wraped bundles of raw aspagus up with the sticky proscuitto and put it on the grill.

  Haha on me , it's a common thing to do. It's really good though . You crisp up the prosciutto and flavor the asparagus to perfection and everyone is happy. Including the cook....

  To all the cooks here , It's a pleasure reading your recipes and ideas. I still have never cooked salmon on a wood plank. Thats my next attempt . Well, that and slipping some anchovie into to the gravy.
